FUTURE PLANS
In FY2006, Lincoln Trail Libraries System will be presenting once again a Spanish for Librarians series. These classes on basic library Spanish will be available to any library staff member interested in developing a basic repertoire of library-related words and phrases in Spanish. Participants will attend five sessions (3 hrs each) for a total of 15 hours of instruction. The program will introduce basic Spanish and provide participants with specific vocabulary to enable them to interact with patrons. Participants will practice and apply their skills between sessions using materials provided for the workshop. Dates and times for each session will be announced soon!
Lincoln Trail Libraries System is proud to notify you that the Illinois State Library has funded the grant entitled "Diversity and Cultural Competency in Rural Libraries: A Multi-System Initiative"! LTLS will be partnering with Shawnee Library System, Rolling Prairie Library System and Lewis & Clark Library System to bring more diversity and cultural competency events to downstate Illinois.
